Mail Drops - AT '99This following listing was for my 1999 Appalachian Trail thruhike.
This is a rough estimate for when I’ll be at any given maildrop. To check whether I am ahead or behind schedule, call ###-###-####. All packages can be addressed to me c/o General Delivery at the town, state, and zip shown below unless there is a full address listed. In that case, packages can be sent to me c/o that address. All packages should be marked Hold for AT thruhiker. In retrospect: My maildrops worked very well for me but I would make major changes if I were to hike the AT again. I would forego most of the maildrops and just have a couple to switch out cold and warm weather gear as appropriate. This would require some rethinking about fuel choices and maps, but for the most part, I feel I could have done well enough and saved myself some stress by just making do with the supplies available along the way.
