Mark,
There are 2 ways to drive there directly (120E to 395S)(58E to 395N) and 1
way to get close enough to hike (168 to Edison Lake)...and then there's the
Mammoth Lakes Airport that you can fly into directly. And then there's the
cheapest way: the YARTS. You can find that at Yarts.com.

GL,
Josh

Subject: [pct-l] How to get to Mammoth mountain?

I want to start my 300 mile hike north on the PCT from Mammoth and Thousand
Island Lakes.

Anyone know how to get to the eastern sierras from Central Valley, CA
without taking a plane to Vegas and a cab? It doesn't appear that the Grey
dog stops in Mammoth, but maybe some of you have some experience getting
over there? Also, the flights to Mammoth seem to stop in the summer time?

Thanks,
Mark
