Mtnned,

I would agree with that.  It was or is level-headed.  Finally!  But then!  The interjections by people who say things like that both sides have weighed in so drop it, just gets to damned frustrating and old.

You have a legitimate question.  Maybe someone has an answer.  This seems like a decent forum for asking people who might know.

I went onto the site and clicked on unsubscribe.  Since then I've got a couple more e-mails from the list.  Maybe it's not automatic.

Subject: [pct-l] weapons question unanswered

To all of those who responded to my dismay, "Thank you."

However, no one has rationally, unemotionally explained an answer to my question regarding why we can carry in the Forest and not the Park.
Why is this an issue that carries with it such concern?

Yes, we are a body of responsible citizens who, out on the trails we so love, would come to each other's aid in a heartbeat. We love our trail community as we share a love of wilderness and the preservation and appreciation thereof.

This discussion has been short, so far, but we have kept it level-headed, mature, and objective. Can we be respectful enough of each other to keep it up until we reach the answer?

Mtnned
