[pct-l] Transportation from LAX to Truckee?

I am not sure this is necessarily a better option, but The Airport Bus
of Bakersfield (661-327-2411) has a half dozen buses a day between LAX
and Bakersfield. They might help on your return to LAX if you need to
go back there.

Kern Regional Transit
http://www.co.kern.ca.us/roads/kernregionaltransit.asp has bus service
to/from Bakersfield from Onyx and Tehachapi.

The Best Western Hill  House in Bakersfield is a block from the Amtrak
station, but  8 - 10 blocks from the Kern Regional Transit station.

Amtrak is not a bad way to go. I have taken it several times to
Yosemite and back from Truckee when I lived in Bakersfield.
