Below is a report of the Diamond Lake rehab project to rid the lake of tui chub.
As I recall when I left Oregon in 2005/2006 there was talk about Olallie Lake too.
The tui chub is a problem in dozens of lakes in Central Oregon.

>From the Oregon Dept. of Fish and Game:

"The rainbow trout fishery is in full swing for the 2008 season and
Diamond Lake is once again a favorite destination of trout anglers.
Plenty of fish stocked this year and hold-over trout from 2007 are
providing a trophy fishery.
				With water quality so closely
tied to the fishery, keeping Diamond Lake fishable and swimmable is in
the hands of everyone who enjoys it. Treated with rotenone just two
years ago to rid Diamond Lake of 98 million tui chub, another bait fish
has been found.

				During ODFW’s routine fish population
monitoring in mid-July, golden shiners were discovered in trap nets.
Although ODFW does not know how the shiners got into the lake, they are
a popular bait fish and were most likely used illegally to catch trout.

				ODFW
is trying to control the population growth of the shiners through
electro-fishing during their spawning season. This fall, biologists
will assess the situation and plan accordingly for 2009.

Anglers and other lake users can help keep Diamond Lake fishable and
swimmable by reporting any illegal use of live bait fish to Oregon
State Police at 541-440-3334. It is against the law to use live fish
for bait in Oregon’s freshwaters.

				Lake
users can also help by cleaning their boat, fishing and swimming
equipment before entering Diamond Lake. Cleaning includes removing all
vegetation, emptying bilge and any other standing water and draining
the live well.

ODFW, ODEQ and the Umpqua National Forest continue to monitor
the lake closely, checking water quality, fish composition, population
levels of phytoplankton, zooplankton, benthic invertebrates, amphibians
and flora and fauna in and around Diamond Lake.
