 Told ya we were gonna hike – so we are.   My daughter got married on Saturday 
so now we’re free to go play again. Tomorrow night we’ll be in Big Bear, CA and 
Wednesday we’ll start hiking north on the PCT.   Won’t start at Campo (the border) 
cause it’s too late in the season to be starting that much desert.  Big Bear is about 
300 miles north (trail miles, that is) north of the border.  
 
This is a test for the knee.  We’ll see how far we get, but the objective is Canada by 
Christmas.  But I won’t tell you how wrong that statement is.  
 
In any case, this is plan A.  Yes – we also have Plans B & C.  After all, I DID do 
contingency planning for spacecraft programs for a long, long time and it’s a hard 
habit to break. 
 
We’ll let you know about the next step – when it’s history.
