Talk of political correctness, free speech and tolerance is misplaced - the problem here is simply a failure to differentiate - what is appropriate in the bedroom is not appropriate at the bar; what is appropriate at the bar is not appropriate in the park, at the church, the supermarket, or this list. The ability to differentiate usually comes with age. Not everyone develops this understanding. There is no need for lectures or hand-slapping. There is also no need to allow it here and no apologies are needed for removing offenders from the list. Let's get back to the joys of the outdoors - can we talk trail? Equipment? Hiking? Sunrises and sunsets? If the list master can't or won't set clear norms for this list, guidelines most lists have, perhaps someone can start another list, using Facebook, for example. I've appreciated the advice I've received from seasoned hikers via this list. If we need to move to another system to maintain this resource, let's do so.

Mike
