I don't know a lot about the ATC but I have been in the position of the folks at the ATC. The first year after I "quit" working I was executive director of an organization that has paid staff and a lot of volunteers. I donated my paycheck back to the organization. I had people that wrote letters to the board that said I was in it for the money. My job involved a lot of time in Washington DC. I always flew coach and sometimes flew to Chicago on the way to DC because it was cheaper. Some folks said I was flying all over the country in stead of just to DC. I never once turned in an expense voucher for food. I figured I ate at home and bought my own food so I would buy it on the road. Some folks said I was eating in fancy restaurants and wasting money. Some folks thought I was taking the organization to hell in a handbasket and other folks thought I walked on water. Neither was true. I like to think I was closer to walking on water but that is just my opinion. I done some g
ood things and made some changes that turned out to be wrong. I am sure the folks that don't like change didn't like me. I like to think that most folks try to do what is right and the folks that run the ATC are probably doing what they think is right. If you disagree with them get involved. They seem to be pretty open so move in and aggravate for change.

Without trying to appear too esoteric, it is the

hike.
Hikers maybe?? Experts, Absolutely, Just ask them and they will tell you.
They will expertly tell you and I how to hike. How to serve our clubs. How to everything their way. When to do it and most of all they will let you know why every thing we did in the past is soooo out of style.
Sorry but I just had to join the bitchin'.
