[at-l] Hunt Trail

The local news announced that the Abol trail was open for Memorial 
Day and the rest of the trails were still closed because of ice, snow 
and water.  This notice was broadcast last Friday and was considered 
news because previously Baxter State Park predicted the summit would 
not be accessible on its normal season opening of Memorial Day 
Weekend.  However, it has been pretty warm for the last few days and 
looks like good weather for the next few days.  We have had very 
little precipitation since April.  There is actually high forest fire 
alerts posted throughout northern New England.  I bet you will be 
able to use the Hunt Trail.   Have a wonderful hike Clyde.  I'll try 
to catch you when you reach New Hampshire.
