If you saw my father the day before they operated you'd never believe that
he needed it (heart problems are sneaky!). I saw him this weekend and you'd
never believe that he was released a week ago after a major operation.
He's out walking three times a day, just like the doctor ordered, but I
think he's walking a bit farther than they planned on, he's only supposed to
be walking 15 minutes each to start with, but he's going about 20 or so.
His biggest complaint is "enforced uselessness" because he can't drive or
pick up more than ten pounds for six to eight weeks. He's made a remarkable
recovery. I'm not even sure they're going to get him into a cardiac rehab
program, they caught things before there was heart damage so all he really
needs to do is heal.
Thank you all for your thoughts and prayers!
