Well, actually, if ya think on it, the value would be in the authenticity of the copy.  Hermetically sealed, never opened just isn't "trail-like".  In addition to dawg-ear'd, it needs to have some rahman noodles spilt on it, and the back pages tore out to start a fire or for tp, and the resta of  the pages sorta swelled up from when it got a tad rained on, an... well, you get the idea.  I'm gonna take mine with on my 09 hike, and THEN I'll bet it'll be worth somethin.  Signed with an ORIGINAL signature an all.

Darn, I've read mine a few times and it looks a bit used; however, I haven't dogeared it at all.
