This is hard to believe. I had no idea he was out. I thought he would
never get out.
I took this book out, "Murder On The Appalachian Trail", from the
Blairsville library several years ago. I could not put it down. It was
not only about the murders, but wonderful sections about the A.T. during
that time. The murders were incredibly brutal. They had befriended him
and then he killed them. It was a totally senseless crime. Letting him
lose, to kill again, is shocking. This man was hearing voices and
severely mentally ill.
An interesting tidbit about this book is that Warren Doyle was the lone
person outside the court house, carrying a sign.
I heard that the entire shelter was covered with blood and they built a
new one because of that. Does anyone know if this is true?
I sure would get off the trail, or not hike anywhere near that area,
until they catch him.
