Do I have to tell you my snoring story? OK, then, I'll do it.

At Trail Days three or four years ago, I was in an upstairs room right across from the top of the stairs in The Place. The room slept 8, as I recall. I was in a bottom bunk sleeping like a log. I can sleep through virtually anything. My hiking partner was also in a bottom bunk, under Gypsy Wind.

At 3:30 in the morning, I hear a Wham! Wham! Wham!, then she let's out with, "Goddammit, STOP SNORING!" She was banging on the bottom of his bunk with her hiking stick and screaming loudly enough to wake everyone on the second floor! She said, "Well, didn't you hear him?!" No, I heard nothing. <G> He got up and left and didn't come back until 9:00 a.m. the second morning. I.e., he was gone about 30 hours, leaving his stuff on the bunk all the while. When he came back, we were just about to go out, and he meekly asked if it would be OK if he slept there that day. <G> I really did feel rather sorry for the poor guy. Is he still out and about on the trail?
