A burglar breaks into the house of a little old lady at 2 am. Awaken by the
noise, the little old lady comes down the stairs to see what all the ruckus is
all about. As she enters the living room, she sees the burglar. Not armed, but
with an unwavering faith in God, she screams out Acts 2:38. (Then Peter said
to them,"Repent, and let every one of you be baptized in the name of Jesus
Christ for the remission of sins; and you shall receive the gift of the Holy
Spirit. )
Immediately the burglar drops to the ground and doesn't move. The little old
lady calls 911 and the police come and arrest the burglar.
In the patrol car, the policeman asks why the burglar didn't run when he was
confronted by the little old lady. He replied, "Are you kidding? She had an ax
and a pair of .38s".
