You can't go wrong with SW VA.  Start at Atkins and hike into Damascus 
and then hike south a week (I don't know what is a week south of 
Damascus) Or, start down around Hampton/Kincora and hike to 
Damascus...then, go as far as you make it to the north.   I wouldn't 
worry about PA, either. That reputation is worse than its bite.  PA has 
some nice hiking.  Yes, it's rocky. But, so.   And, when did you stop 
wanting to kill Delee?
