[at-l] Trip to Wilmington/Cape Fear area

It's all Sandy (Navigator) Friend's??fault.? She clued me in to an on-line auction sponsored by the Outdoor writer's association she belong to, and I won a two-night trip in the Willmington/Cape Fear area.? Two nights accomodations, a carriage ride, and some other goodies.?

Will probably take this trip in late May/early June, and it will be a long-weekend kind of thing.?

Is there anyone on list who could also suggest some easy day hikes in the area?? I'll get some literature, but again know that y'all always come up with great ideas.??Suggestions for museums, historical sites, etc. appreciated too. ?I'll have a car, so transportation won't be a problem.
