what I always LIKED about people on AT-L is/were they are/were all DIFFERENT
in their politics, their religion or lack thereof, their thoughts about
what's good or bad for the forest and the trails, whether to carry a cell
phone or naught, whether to use hiking poles or naught, whether to sleep
under a tent or a tarp, on the ground or in a hammock, whether to carry more
or less . . . and, yet, we can still talk to each other, assist each other,
and hike together, and look out for each other's safety in the wilderness
and elsewhere . . . I hope it's still that way . . . if I left or was thrown
out of AT-L, I'd be sad and feel a real loss . . .
