[at-l] source for short sternum strap?

In my continuing descent into decrepitude, I'm having pain between my  
shoulder blades when I wear my backpack.  It seems to be due to me  
absently rounding my shoulders forward against the pack straps.  I  
think that a shorter sternum strap would help, as it would move the  
strap pressure closer to the center so my shoulders wouldn't have  
anything to resist.  I already have my sternum strap as short as it  
will go, and I'd like it about an inch shorter.  I tried tying a  
bandana around the straps to hold them closer and that did help, but  
untying a bandana all the time to take off the pack is a pain.

So.  Anybody know where I can get a short sternum strap?  I don't  
really want to take mine apart and re-engineer it.
