you can now get these cool little gadgets (and send more $$ abroad) that
weigh only a few ounces so you can carry them with you into the wilderness
and get internet, video, gps, phone service, weather reports, email and
instant messaging, and take pictures and videos! I carried one with me on my
hike last weekend! I didn't get lost! But it wouldn't carry my pack for me
or churn up an ice frap when it got hot :(

(Panther Creek Falls in the Cohuttas: Sat nite sunset was spectacular when
the sun dipped below the cloud cover and illuminated the woods with an
orange glow for about 3 minutes. The next morning I watched a full moon set
before the sun lit up the mountain tops. Awesome.)
