[at-l] Cohos Trail

Hey Mags, Sloetoe is going to tell you a bunch of BAD things about the Cohos
Trail, don't believe him! <g>

I'll e-mail you a copy of my journal...
Just some points... I think the best plan is north to south, there's no
public transportation to the north end and it's pretty much the middle of
nowhere. Which in my book means it was easier to get a ride there than a
ride out. Failing all else you can check with the hostel(s) in Gorham and
see if you can arrange a shuttle.
You'll need mail drops, the biggest store you hit on the trail is a
mini-mart.

One caveat on resupply, Stark is about 1.5 miles west of the trail and has a
zip code. There is NO PO, general delivery goes to the next town west (which
also had a real grocery when I was there). I hitched with no problem. There
is also a wonderful, hiker friendly B&B in Stark that gets my highest
recommendation!
