Yall stay outta my private hiking land. I'm on the LBL Trails three or so
times every week either doin minor maintenance or just me-n-the dogs wandering;
I average seeing another soul about once every ten times on the trail and
many of them are just some of our nation's finest (Screamin Eagles) out for a
jaunt. I like the solitude just fine now, ya hear.
    Seriously come wander thru the hardwoods and occasional pine thicket,
the North/South Trail spends about forty percent of its time near the KY Lake
shore and the rest up (short) and down the ridges, more oaks and hickory's
than the law allows; your chances of running into me are pretty good.

Tim, your family is in Paducah? I grew up (4th generation) 35 miles away in
 Cairo, Illinois. We went to Paducah about twice a year for a shopping trip.

Following an earthquake in the late 60's-early 70's, the high school I
graduate from (1965) was declared structural damaged, and they had to tear it
down. We had a earthquake about every two or three years while I was growing
up--most of them pretty minor.

To make it hiking related, one of these days I really want to go hiking in
the Land Between the Lakes area (between Kentucky Lake and Barkley Lake--near
Paducah.
