Tim, your family is in Paducah?? I grew up (4th generation) 35 miles away in Cairo, Illinois.? We went to Paducah about twice a year for a shopping trip.

Following an earthquake in the late 60's-early 70's, the high school I?graduate from (1965)?was declared structural damaged, and they had to tear it down.? We had a earthquake about every two or three years while I was growing up--most of them pretty minor.

To make it hiking related, one of these days I really want to go hiking in the Land Between the Lakes area (between Kentucky Lake and Barkley Lake--near Paducah.

Some folks felt it in Atlanta.? One caller said she woke up because her headboard was banging against the wall.? She didn't say if it was earthquake related.

My wife's family's in Paducah.? I guess the kinfolk who were sober at 4:30am felt it.

Take Care,

Tim

Hey...we just had an earthquake!!!

The coolest part of this was as it was going on...and, it lasted a really long time, in my opinion...I went out on my porch and a big, orange moon was setting in a clear, star-filled sky. Beautiful, I tell ya. Beautiful.
