  Since nobody much posts any more on at-l, and some of the culprits of the flame wars of old have been silent, it's not really all that surprising.  Now, if somebody would just bring up guns on the trail, the effectiveness of water filtration systems, cell phones, and/or badly behaved trail dogs, we could probably get something going..

  What happened to the flame wars of old.  Have email lists gentrified?  Not that I miss them, but just curious.  The AT lists seemed particularly, but not uniquely, prone to them.
