Hey Chase, I've been very happy with my ULA P2 for the past four (or is it
five? Geez, I think it might be six. Where does the time go?) years. I know
they've updated the P2 and changed it's name, so I can't give you any info
on that (if you can contact her JoJo is on the way to the PCT with the new
one. If you want her pocketmail addy check back with me offline).
The old style weighs 37 ounces, I think the top pocket when I use it adds
another six. I hit the start of the Centenial Trail with 5 liters of water
and nine days worth of food. It wasn't fun, but the pack handled it well.
I've also carried a bear canister through the Sierra with it (the canister
has to fit in the bottom where you would normally have your sleeping bag).
The pack has handled everything I've thrown at it, including some rough
off-trail hiking. I love my P2 and hope to get many more years out of it!
