Nine years ago today...

Pokey and Stoat and I got up at Quarry Gap Shelters and made our way to 
the highway...where we hitched up the road to the grocery store. I ate a 
dozen of those powdered donuts...the big ones, not the little ones...and 
drank a quart of half and half.  The pleasures of being a thru-hiker.  
We got some other groceries and hitched back to the trail. That night we 
staid at Tumbling Run Shelters with Pittsburgh, Sly, Cheryl and Gypsy. I 
don't remember if anyone else was there, or not.  The next morning 
(11/1) was the first time (I believe) that I ever saw Sundown...he was 
still asleep in Antietam Shelter when we hiked past. But, that was nine 
years ago tomorrow...we wouldn't want to talk about that yet, wood we?
