[at-l] '08 thru-hiker asks advise

Monty, you probably want to start with the ATC bookstore at
www.appalachiantrail.org. I know they have (or used to) a thru-hike planning
workbook, and plenty of other material.
The AT is really a trail where you can "wing it", but if planning is your
thing then have at it!
