Hello everyone,

I'm here in Gettysburg for the Gathering. The Gathering is taking place at Gettysburg college, with a pre-registration table set up at the campground until 4:00 p.m. where we'll then take it over to the college. 

Campers are arriving early and setting up at Redding Farm. Yesterday afternoon, I would say there were about 50 people here already, and 2 enormous RVs. Some campers were set up under a row of black walnut trees. 

Redding Farm is private property; Civil War re-enactments take place there. HUGE field, great for letting your dogs run around too. 

The weather is absolutely perfect for camping. A heavy dew has fallen and there is thick layer everywhere, which will make for great photography at sunrise on the battlefields. 

I drove along countryside roads last night,  thru Hanover and over to Stewartstown PA where a large group of people were having a bbq and campout; they will all be driving up here this morning for the Gathering. 

If you have any reservations about attending, change your mind. It's beautiful here, the weather is perfect, and the best of company.

Gotta go...sunrise is at 7:02 a.m.
