[at-l] Winter hike

No!!!!!    Katahdin does not close.  Baxter closes to campers for the 
winter but it is always open for hiking.  So many NOBOS believe they 
cannot finish on Katahdin after October 15th.  I finished on October 
25th with light breezes and temps in the 50's.  There was a little 
dusting of snow on the ground and a few patches of ice on the way up 
that melted before I hit them on the way down.  Best of all there 
were only two other hikers on the entire mountain that day.  It was 
amazing.
