One of my favorite trail journals, Hydro Heidi, commenced in January of

This is a NOBO linear journey, but she got to the point you want to 
start, about the time you want to start.  She had to come off the trail 
for a couple weeks in January and February, but got to Damascas, March 
5.  So, this journal might help you anticipate the sort of weather you 
might encounter.  Heidi is so positive, and completely in love in with 
hiking.  The inspiration alone is worth the read.
