Crisp, cool air just smells better.
Crunching! Crunching! Crunching!  I love the sound of crunching. Snow, 
ice, frozen mud, Apple Jacks, GrapeNuts...you almost can't go wrong with 
crunching. (Bone crunching isn't always good, though)
Cleanery. Everything just seems 'cleaner'...no bugs, fewer 'cobwebs', 
less 'stuff' blowing around and getting into your food when you're cooking.
Plus, it takes more thought, more planning, to do EVERYTHING.  So, it's 
nice when it all comes together and you stay alive and fairly well. 
I loved cold hiking!!!
