Well, my loves, my friends, my community -

I wanted to speak it here, since this list is where my hiking dreams got nurtured.

I am more than happy to announce that this weekend the whale got birthed and the publisher got the final draft of my story.
Nina and I are cleaning up loose ends this week on the Introduction, but the Baby Whale-let is now swimming on its own.

Who knew writing a book (and more importantly, re-writing and re-writing it!) could take so long or be so hard?
The eminently capable, bouffant editress Nina Baxley-Rogers cracked the whip over my large mass of verbiage, and helped me craft something I'm really proud of.

Thanks you guys for all your encouragement and kind words through the years. I feel very close to you all right now.
I am ready to let of some steam at Trail Days, you can be sure of that!
