Thanks for the B-day greetings and the inquiry.
I will give the final WORD on the subject.
May I be frank?
Here is the status of the (damned) book.
;-)
I feel like I gave birth to a whale.
It's been my life and free time for almost a year.
;-)
The book is written, and has been edited and re-written about a million times. ;-)
It went out to select and excellent proofreaders last wee - yay! - and Nina Baxley Rogers, Editor-ess Extraordinaire, has folded in their comments/corrections for me to plow through and incorporate.
I've got an intro and an epilogue to write, and then it is done, DONE DOOOONE!
The proof readers were actually encouraging, which immediately caused me to hate it less.
;-)
I don't hate it because I think it's bad, I hate it because it's owned me and I'm tired of it.
You can only go over the same thing, oh, 20 or so times at the end of an exhausting work day when you have absolutely no creative energy left before you want to slam the laptop into the fish tank (were there a fish tank to slam into).
If you're still asking "when?" the honest answer is "dunno" because I've never done this before, but the process is winding down and the feedback has been kind. Soon?
Maybe it will be done in time for me to do my taxes without filing an extension.
;-)
As I promised, I'll announce it here first, since y'all "grew" me from a seed.
I'm kinda sentimental about that.
