[at-l] March 25th is getting closer

The closer we get to March 25th the more we think something will stop us.
Just yesterday I stopped to wait for another car to leave so I could make a
left turn into the local post office parking area. There I am in my car with
the left turn signal flashing and foot on the brake pedal when I look in the
rear-view and see an old Chevy Celebrity coming way too fast. I pumped my
brake pedal and the driver came to a screeching halt just two feet from
hitting me. Well now, guess what happens next.
The driver, a woman, blasts her horn at "me". I make my left and pull into
a parrallel parking place (where I should have backed in had she not been on
my ass), right behind me, and then pulls aside me and yells out her window
about why I am stopped in the street without any warning. I asked why the
turn signal and brake lights were not enough warning. I of course asked her
why she was driving so fast and why she wasn't paying attention. She blasted
back, typical road rage style, saying if she had plowed into my rear end, I
would've been at fault. We intelligent people know that is never true. She
has no concept being she is totally whacked. She turned around and came
back within 6" of the side of my car and spit on me. I'm glad she didn't
have a gun or I would've been dead right there. I saw two little children in
the back seat of her car and a man sitting in the passenger seat as she
passed. Poor kids! Anyhow I'm glad to be here and hope to make it to
Georgia on the 25th. Yes I checked my brake lights and turn signals when I
got home and all worked properly. Right is wrong and wrong is right and
idiots rule! Counting the hours...no more driving...
I hope there's no such thing as Trail Rage"

One of my favorite quotes: "I went to the woods because I wished to live
deliberately, to front only the essential facts of life, and see if I could
not learn what it had to teach, and not, when I had come to die, discover
that I had not lived."
---Henry David Thoreau
