That is a tough combination. If you are stuck on AA batteries and XD cards
you are in Olympus territory; the Fe-115, 100, 180, 110 & 120 models all use
that combo. If you are willing to surrender the XD cards you might look at
the Canon Powershot A710 IS. It does push the top end of your budget
($258.99 at Circuit City) and it uses SD/MMC cards instead of XD cards but
memory is pretty cheap right now. B&H recently had 2 GB Kingston SD cards
for $20.95 after a $5 rebate. The IS feature (image stabilization) detects
camera movement and compensates to give sharper images at up to 2 stops
slower shutter speeds than a non-IS camera. A good thing in dim light. It
uses AA batteries. It has an optical finder. Disclaimer: I am partial to
Canon although I own an Olympus 5060Z too and it is a good camera. I don't
own stock in either.
