Colin Fletcher surely helped me change my life.  That and my first hike, which was off the AT in the Smokies.

### Primo, mags. I'm saving this one.
### Colin Fletcher is the guy who taught me how to
ike. I read, reread, and read again, a second edition
f The Complete Walker from the public library until I
ad memorized the footnotes... (And could anyone
ootnote like Colin Fletcher...? "Look!" she said,
Camping out!") My gear choices, organization, and
verall style still reflect what I'd garnered a
illion years ago from that book. I enjoyed some of
is others, but The Complete Walker was huge.
