[at-l] Superfeet Inserts

I've been wearing Superfeet since 1999. Due to my foot shape and size, I've
always used the custom type in either the "green" or "everyday" models. I
originally got them during my thruhike when I had significant heel pain and
the Superfeet solved that problem.

There can be a break in period and the information from Superfeet says to
wear them just an hour or two the first day, working yoru way up to all day
over the course of several days. That's worked for me and if I don't give
them a break in period, I may have some realignment pain. However, once I
got used to using Superfeet, getting a new pair never resulted in the same
length of time for break-in.

I'm in the market for a new pair but seem to be on part of the trail where
custom fitters are non-existant. Oh well...

I'll be getting off trail anytime now (today? or in a week or two?) and the
ones I have will have to do until then.

Best of luck with the inserts,

Mara

P.S. With such unusual wear patterns on your shoes, you may want to talk
wtih your doctor to find out if there are other "alignment" issues with your
body. For example, I have scoliosis (c-curve) but it's not serious enough
that any of my doctors have thought I needed to address it in any way. but,
it's made pack fitting "interesting" at times. -MF
