[at-l] at-l versus Whiteblases

I really find it difficult to follow what is going on at whiteblases, it is really nothing more than a bulletin board and those are so old fashion.  Yes this list had a hell of a lot more traffic and a number of people use to go to digest.  I actually like the free-wheeling style of this mail list, though there are times I am sure Ryan is ready to pull his hair out.

Another reason that I don't really like whiteblases is because of the thru hikers.  Many of them rub me the wrong way.  For the most part the more laid back thru hikers hank out here and they are around, they just don't post.

AS I posted off list to one member of this list the weather is yucky and I will not be able to go on my first backpacking trip of the year until May.  Dpressing isn't it?
