What a sad turn of events!  
 
This particular strain (if it is "this particular" one) tends to hang on to ruin your life for more than a few days.  You are a brave sould to show up for work.
 
Of course, it is very beneficial for temporary weight loss.

I'm in the third day of constant nausea.  Not sure what caused it, but I'm on 
the BRAT (bananas, rice, applesauce, toast) diet.  Lunch today is chicken noodle 
soup sans chicken, saltines, and applesauce.  I'm at work (it's lunch time) 
because I have lots proposals to prepare & send for the faculty.  If I didn't 
know that factory had already closed some time ago, I'd think I was pregnant.
 
To make it worse, I have gotten a TON of chocolate from my office secret 
sweetie.  Normally, I'm a chocoholic.  Now even looking at it makes me green 
around the gills.
 
And I have to whip the house into shape for Friday night.  I'm hosting a feed 
for 18-24 volunteer vacation folks who are here working on the FT.  Just the 
thinking of smelling the lasagna heating makes me queasy.
 
Saturday morning is supposed to be near freezing in Central Florida.  Perfect 
day to hike--I hope I'm over this by then.

I'm lingering in obnoxious illness, some dumbass
mild-type fever giving me a pain by sticking around
and making my sinuses feel like a finger pokes into
