Weary,

So I guess the hiking has helped you all to stay well and strong.
Sounds like a real hiking family! I grew up hiking with my parents and
climbed my first big mountain (Cannon Mt. in N.H.) at age 14 with my
entire immediate family. I sure would to be still hiking when I get to
your sister's age.

Now that the weather here is getting perfect for hiking, I am having a
terrible time with asthma. I work out aerobics, stretching and free
weights, every other day. Now I have to stop, take an inhaler and wait
20 minutes before I can complete it. It takes me 3 hrs. to do a 1 hour
work out. But I have not missed a single day since I started this a
couple of months ago. Trying to get into my best "hiking shape". A real
bummer because I was planning some Fall hikes and we are surrounded by
mountains here. Frustrating!

Hugs, Hummingbird

The gathering was for the youngest girl, carolyn -- who incidentally is the most avid hiker of the clan. Marge (Honey), Earle (bear) and Cal ( no trail name) joined me in 1993 just north of Harpers Ferry, along with my grandson, Jon, and continued through New York and into Vermont. WE skipped Connecticut and Massachusetts because winter was approaching. We all went back in 1995 to pick up the missed states.
