I live in NC, and hike all over the southeastern AT. I use my 30-F bag into
early November, then switch to a warmer bag. This year it's my new Western
Mountaineering 5-F bag, which I got on an unbelievable sale at a local
outfitter this summer. I'll use that into March, depending on the weather
and location, then go back to the 30 (which is a WM Megalite).
