I hike in swim-suit type of multi-purpose shorts. I carry wind pants, very light,
for cool evenings in camp or trail wear if it really gets cold. I also carry in
cold weather, leggings (long underwear). This has proven (to me) to be a good set
up for the weight (19.8 oz).
