[at-l] 10 years ago!

Well, I only joined at-l eight years ago, but I was using Inter Relay Chat
(IRC) in 1986 and think I was participating in usenet newsgroups (including
rec.backcountry) by 1987 or 1988. Anyone else remember Gerry Gladu's
postcards from the AT in 1993? it was probably the first "on-line" AT
journal.

They're on Kathy's site now: http://www.fred.net/kathy/at/gladu.html

My company restricted access to newsgroups in the mid-90s so I was off-list
for a few years until web-based lists and groups became available to me.

Talk about dating oneself... Yikes!
