Wow. It has been 10 years since signing on and following Gutsy's thru. 1996 
was my first Gathering. I was planning for a '97 thru, which fell through when 
my sister fell ill with cancer and died. I remember the first Ruck (at 
Harper's Ferry) fondly, and the friends along the way.  
I moved to Florida after Sue died and just at the cusp of prep for a thru 
again, got offered the "50 Hikes" series contract for Florida. So I quit my job 
and became a Florida hiker and an all around Florida Trail advocate. But 
someday, I'll be back to the AT. Someday.
