I went with an Olympus Stylus 710.
I compared for weather/water proofing and wound up deciding
between the Olympus, a Pentax and Casio.
The Olympus was the lightest. At $278 from Brands Mart USA, I think I did ok
with the price.
FYI, Olympus, when you register your purchase online, will give you a 10%
discount at their website.
If I'd known that, I'd have waited to register my purchase to purchase the 1
gig card.
Instead, I bought the 1 gig card with the camera and, on registering, got an
extra battery online with the 10% discount.
I'm just now putting it through its paces, checking out what it can do and I
have to say, I'm amazed with the quality of the images.
