[at-l] anyone free for the long weekend?

Hey,

So I'm Tamara, camp names also include; Suture, Tamarack, and hey you.  I've 
been on the list for about a week but havn't posted till now.

Is anyone out there free for the Labour day long weekend (Sept 1-2-3-4) ?? I 
am from Canada and am working on my Duke of Edinburgh Award 
(www.dukeofed.org). I am working on my gold level which includes a 4 day, 50 
mile hike. But being the new-be to the states, never being on the AT at all 
before, never been camping in an area where there are bears, and poisonus 
snakes, I would like someone to go with. Don't get me wrong I have been 
hiking before, and camping tones, but the area of Canada that I am from is 
too highly populated by humans for bears to live in peace, and as for the 
snakes, just garder snakes, all bite no venum. Ticks are few and far 
between.

Any who, I have a route planned in the Shenandoah National Park. Does anyone 
want to join me?
