[at-l] an odd thing, of sorts...

Actually, that was a very good "date". In fact my girlfriend and I (her fresh out of high school, me a worldly year older) opted to go to the drive-in that night to celebrate New Year's Eve and to see "Romeo and Juliet". It was the second half of a double feature. The drive-in had the normal speaker to hang from your window but also there were space heaters hanging from the speaker pole that you placed in your car. The space heater, not the pole. What ever happened to those space heaters anyway? Hmmm, what ever happened to drive-ins? Anyhoo, we saw the first feature although for the life of me I can't remember what it was. But by the time ole Romeo started wooing Juliet, the windows in my 65 Dodge Coronet (with an uncomfortable console twixt the bucket seats, least ways that's what she told me) had gotten pretty steamed up and we never did see R&J. Somehow the missed opportunity didn't seem like such a missed opportunity. Sure do miss that car...

Every now and occasionally I get an e-mail that is blank...the sender is
blank...the only thing that is actually 'there' is the date...and, the
date is 12/31/69. Does anybody know what that is and why/how I get it?
I use Netscape mail browser. Thoughts?
