Gypsy,
My thoughts and prayers are with you and ignore uncaring and 
thoughtless people.

I don't know how many on the list have grandchildren, but I have only 
1, a girls soon to be 3 next week.  I feel a lot different towards 
her than I recall feeling about my 2 sons when they were that age and 
I was 40 years younger and trying to graduate and earn a 
living.  Perhaps its because she is a girl.  That may have something 
to do with it, but I think  it comes from being in a different place 
and what is important today is a lot different from 40 years ago. 
Children are just so darn special and to loose them has to be 
extremely traumatic.  I'm a lot more protective of my granddaughter 
(and not because she is a girl) than I ever was with my 2 boys.   I 
had the youngest one on a  large motorcycle by himself when he was 
almost 5 .   What was I thinking?  I'm glad I am as old as I am and 
in certain areas anyway think I have a better feel for what is 
important and cannot imagine my granddaughter not being around.

Enough of my rambling for this evening.
